Terms of Use
These Terms of Use describe the conditions for using The Curated Find Pin Publisher ("the application"). The application is an independently developed personal-use project operated by the GitHub user RomanGOW. "The Curated Find" is a project name and does not imply that a registered company exists.
1. Personal-use project
The application is currently intended for the operator's own Pinterest account. It is not offered as a public hosted service, and no other person is authorised to use the operator's Pinterest credentials or API credentials.
2. Pinterest account authorisation
Access to Pinterest is intended to take place through Pinterest's official OAuth authorisation process and API. The application must not request or collect Pinterest passwords, session cookies or another person's credentials. The operator is responsible for keeping application credentials and tokens private.
3. Publishing and user responsibility
The operator is responsible for reviewing each Pin and explicitly choosing whether to publish it, including its image, title, description, destination link and destination board. The operator must not use the application to publish content without the required review and authorisation, or to automate engagement such as following, commenting, messaging or saving other users' content.
4. Content rights and compliance
The operator must have the rights, permissions and legal basis needed to use and publish all images, text, trademarks and destination links submitted through the application. The operator must comply with Pinterest's terms, developer policies, community guidelines and applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
The application must not be used to scrape Pinterest, evade platform restrictions, test rate limits without permission, spam users, mislead people, infringe intellectual property rights, or sell, disclose or misuse information obtained through Pinterest's API.
6. Third-party services
The application interacts with Pinterest and its API. The website is hosted by GitHub Pages. Those services are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms, policies, availability and technical limitations. The Curated Find is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc. or GitHub, Inc.
7. Availability and changes
The application is provided as a personal development project. Features may change, stop working or be discontinued. Pinterest may change its API, access requirements, permissions or rate limits. No guarantee is made that the application or Pinterest API will be continuously available.
8. No warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the application is provided "as is" and without warranties that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure or suitable for a particular purpose. The operator should review all content before publishing it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the project operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the application, API interruptions, account restrictions, content removal or third-party service changes. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the application changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
